CUSTOMER SERVICE / RETURN POLICY

Laser Tec accepts returns on all unopened toner and developer, providing that it is returned in the same condition as it was shipped. In ALL cases, a Return Merchandise Authorization number must accompany the product. To obtain an "R.M.A." number, please E-mail us at customerservice@lasertec.com. An R.M.A. number will be E-mailed to you within 24 hours.

CONDITIONS FOR REFUNDS OR EXCHANGE

1. In the unlikely event that the customer receives a product that is not what they ordered Laser Tec will issue an exchange or 100% refund, whichever the customer prefers. In addition, Laser Tec will pay all shipping charges to return the product.

2. In the case of a possibly defective product, the customer must obtain an R.M.A.#, then ship the product back to

Laser Tec will inspect the product and E-mail you regarding its status. Please note that factory defects and products damaged during shipping are rare, but can happen. In the event of damaged or defective products, Laser Tec will issue an exchange or full refund. Whichever the customer chooses.

3. Returns due to customer ordering error or other conditions beyond the control of Laser Tec will be assessed a 25% restocking charge. The customer must receive an R.M.A.#, then ship the product back to Laser Tec for inspection prior to issuance of a refund.

4. Due to the sensitive nature of drum cylinders and drum units, be very careful to not expose them to excessive heat or light. In most cases, touching the drum surface will leave a permanent mark on the drum. A trained technician should only install drum and cylinders.


RETURNING TONER PRODUCTS TO US
RMA
An RMA # is required for all returns. This helps us in keeping track of returns. Please fill out the above RMA form and an RMA # will be emailed to you. Please make sure you have tried all the troubleshooting tips above before requesting an RMA. If you are in a hurry for your exchange, please re-order the new item via our web site, and return the item you would like to receive credit for. If returning for a refund, you can expect a refund in the same form of payment within 5-7 business days of your return.

Package the cartridges carefully in the original packaging and include a copy of your invoice, with the RMA # given by support. Wrap any opened cartridges in an airtight bag to prevent ink from leaking out and staining other items in the box.

Please note that all cartridges are weighed for usage; all cartridges sent back to us that have more than 25% usage will be pro-rated accordingly.

Fine Print:
The undersigned guarantees payment to Laser Tec. and understands and consents to be held personally liable for all monies due to Laser Tec should their company fail or refuse to pay any monies due under the terms and conditions of sale set forth and acknowledged. Past due accounts are subject to a 1.5% per month interest. All returns must have an authorized RA#, and return freight is F.O.B. origin. Returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, (excludes defective). Acceptance and delivery of all purchase orders is expressly conditioned upon the satisfaction of all past due accounts with Laser Tec and subject to management's approval. It is agreed that the guarantor and company shall be responsible for all collection costs, including attorney fees, should it be necessary for Laser Tec to commence legal action to collect monies owed by the undersigned guarantor. The undersigned agrees to these terms and conditions. The information and statements in this application are true and complete and are made for the purpose of inducing you to establish a line of credit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Laser Tec cartridges new or remanufactured?

Our products are made from new foreign and domestic parts; Laser Tec remanufactured original parts and recycled durable original parts. Hewlett Packard, Canon, Apple and most other major brands also recycle parts in manufacturing their cartridges. You can usually find a disclaimer on their boxes stating the use of recycled parts, although you may have to look on the bottom of the box!

Virtually all of the stainless steel and plastic components and many other durable cartridge parts can be recycled almost indefinitely. Critical parts, such as the imaging drum, must always be replaced. Our exceptional product reliability results from our scheduled replacement of key cartridge parts before they wear out!
When we started business in 1989 there were very few new cartridge parts available. There are now hundreds of specialized parts suppliers worldwide selling thousands of parts to the imaging products industry.

Do your cartridges produce as many pages as other cartridges?

Yes. Our cartridges contain the same amount of toner in weight as the original products they replace. However, the amount of pages any particular cartridge will print is determined by several factors: (1) the amount of black graphics and text on the pages, (2) the light-dark settings in use on the printer - referred to as the "density", and (3) the cleanliness of the printer's optics.

All page yield statements by original manufacturers use a test "target" (the target is a specific font, page layout, and number of lines of text) to establish cartridge yield figures. Most say something like "4,000 pages at 5% page coverage." A test target at 5% page coverage would be roughly equal to a 2 or 3-paragraph business letter. If, on the other hand, you are printing full pages of legal text, or a large solid black graphic like a logo, you will get far fewer pages than the manufacturer's advertised yield.

To get the maximum prints from your cartridges be sure you check your printer's density setting (essentially, the light-dark setting similar to a copier) and set it to the recommended normal setting for your printer. You set the density with either a dial or slide bar inside the printer, from the printer's LED control panel, or from your Window's printer set-up options. If your printer has not been cleaned in a while have it cleaned. Cleaning may allow you to get as much as 20% more pages from a cartridge.

Will using Laser Tec products void our printer warranty?

NO! Using our products does not void or alter your original manufacturer's warranty. Simply using any other brand cartridge than your printer's name brand does not end your warranty coverage. Your printer warranty, however, will not cover the cost of a repair caused by a defect in another brand cartridge. One example would be if a Xerox HP compatible cartridge damages your HP printer. To provide you 100% protection against the highly unlikely possibility of any damage to your equipment caused by a defect in our products, Laser Tec's product warranty will pay 100% of the cost to immediately repair your machine performed by Laser Tec, or any other qualified service company of your choice.

We recommend you view Hewlett Packard's policy on the use of Non-HP cartridges to reassure yourself that it is not a warranty violation at HP to use our products. Naturally, HP recommends use of their products - why wouldn't they? We have a lot of respect and admiration for HP since they are our best competitors, so we'll make a plug for them: buy Laser Tec or buy HP! You will be happy with the quality either way, but you will be a lot happier with our prices!!

If you have a service contract with someone beyond the date of your original purchase warranty, you should review it to determine if you are subject to restrictions on what brand supplies you can use during the service contract period.
